Galerie Jedna hodina

Galerie Jedna hodina zprostředkovává intenzivní a jiný pohled na prostředí, ve kterém se nacházíme. Stírá hranice mezi interiérem a exteriérem galerie, mezi umělcem, dílem a divákem. Galerie s velkým oknem, kam můžete vstoupit a pohodlně se usadit, se za jednu hodinu otočí o 360°.  Rámuje tak obraz soustředěného pozorování a dává nám čas na vlastní myšlenky a prožitek přítomnosti. Otázka, co je samotné umělecké dílo, však zůstává na divákovi. Je to objekt ve veřejném prostoru? Prázdný prostor galerie? Čas vytržený z kontextu běžného dne? A jakou roli hrají autorky stojící opodál?

Iveta Čermáková
* 1988 Humpolec, žije a pracuje v Praze
Iveta Čermáková je absolventka AVU v Praze, Ateliéru kresby Jitky Svobodové a Jiřího Petrboka (2008-2012), kde se zabývala prostorem jako kulisou pro osobní příběhy. Téma paměti prostoru dále rozvíjela v Ateliéru Monumentální tvorby Jiřího Příhody (2012-2014), kde diplomovala prací Různé úhly pohledu, spočívající v rekonstrukci interiéru na základě vzpomínek pamětníků. Teorii, že předměty nejsou jen pozadím lidských osudů, ale mohou i předznamenávat nové příběhy, dále rozvíjela studiem v Ateliéru Designu nábytku a interiéru na VŠUP (2014-2017). Iveta Čermáková je vítězka Essl Art Award CEE 2015.
Eliška Perglerová
* 1987 Praha, žije a pracuje v Praze
Eliška Perglerová je absolventka AVU v Praze, Ateliéru sochařství Jindřicha Zeithammla a Ateliéru monumentální tvorby Jiřího Příhody (2008-2014). Její práce zpravidla charakterizuje postminimalistické tvarosloví rozšířené o prvky interakce. Důležitým akcentem je procesuální či performativní rovina objektů, které lze nahlížet i jako počiny na pomezí volné sochy a trenažéru rozličných osobních či společenských fobií. V posledních letech se její tvůrčí záběr rozbíhá i dalšími směry, například k tématu nomádství, různým formám umělecké prezentace či k obecným otázkám o povaze umění, které nenásilnou formou spojuje i projekt Galerie Jedna hodina, jenž je již několikátým dokladem autorčiny spolupráce s Ivetou Čermákovou.
One Hour Gallery
The One Hour Gallery provides an intense and different view of the environment in which we find ourselves. It blurs the boundary between the interior and the exterior of the gallery, between the artist, the work and the audience. The gallery with a large window where you can enter and comfortably sit turns 360 degrees in one hour. This is how it frames the image of concentrated observation, giving us time for our own thoughts and experience of the present. However, the question of what the work of art itself is should be answered by the audience. Is it an object in public space? An empty gallery space? Time taken out of the context of a normal day? And what role is played by the artists standing nearby?
Iveta Čermáková
* 1988 in Humpolec, she lives and works: Praha
Iveta Čermáková is a graduate of Jitka Svobodová’s and Jiří Petrbok’s Drawing Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (2008–2012), where she dealt with space as the backdrop for personal stories. She continued to develop the theme of space memory at Jiří Příhoda’s Studio of Monumental Work (2012–2014), where she graduated with the Different Angles of View project, consisting in the reconstruction of the interior based on the memories of those who remember it. The theory that objects are not just a background of people’s fortunes but they can herald new stories was further developed during her studies at the Furniture and Interior Design Studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, which she has completed this year. Iveta Čermáková is the winner of the Essl Art Award CEE 2015.
Eliška Perglerová
* 1987 in Praha, she lives and works: Praha
Eliška Perglerová is a graduate of Jindřich Zeithamml’s Sculpture Studio and Jiří Příhoda’s Studio of Monumental Work at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (2008–2014). Her work is usually characterized by post-minimalist morphology extended by elements of interaction. An important accent of her work is the processional or performative level of objects which can also be viewed as works on the border of fine sculpture and a simulator of various personal or societal phobias. In recent years, other directions, such as nomadism, different forms of artistic presentation and general questions about the nature of art, have also been incorporated into her creative scope. These are also naturally combined in the One Hour Gallery project, which is one of several examples that have presented the author’s cooperation with Iveta Čermáková.
