Zelená zebra
(travní koberec)

Projekt Zelená zebra představuje symbolický pokus o převrácení definovaných poměrů, čímž se vztahuje i k etymologickému původu slova revoluce v latinském revolvere, tedy otáčet se či převracet. Jeho podstatou je travnatá alternativa přechodu pro chodce, která spojuje dvě zelené plochy rozdělené chodníkem či jinou městskou komunikací. Projekt tak na jedné straně hlasitě polemizuje s antropocentrickým modelem chápaní světa, protože ukazuje, že život může být i jinde než mimo mysl člověka a jeho potřeby, na druhé straně se ale i on vztahuje k člověku, neboť mu nabízí imaginární unik ze zaběhaného světa a zavedených cest do míst, kde jej nesvazují jasně dané konvence a povinnosti, a kde jeho životní prostor představuje spíše trávník než zpevněná stezka.

* v Catanii, žije a pracuje ve Stockholmu
Vlady je absolvent Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera v Miláně (2002) a Business School v Dublinu (2008). Jeho multidisciplinární tvorba má zpravidla charakter spontánních, minimalistických, sociopoliticky orientovaných zásahů do veřejného prostoru. Začátek jeho aktivit se přibližně kryje s nástupem poslední hospodářské krize, během které – z perspektivy obyvatele jedné z nejchudších oblastí na jihu Itálie – napadal svou vlastní společnost bezprecedentně sarkastickým guerilla aktivismem. Vladyho dočasné intervence, nezřídka postavené na břitkých textových sděleních, jsou obvykle prostoupeny chiasmatickým střetem radosti a melancholie, slávy a úpadku nebo aktivity a rezignace. Od roku 2012 lze také v jeho tvorbě registrovat řadu projektů, ve kterých hraje důležitou roli veřejnost, a kde autor mísí intervencionismus s prvky situacionismu.
Green Zebra
The Green Zebra project represents a symbolic attempt to overturn defined conditions, by which it also relates to the etymological origin of the word “revolution”, in Latin revolvere, i.e. to turn or roll over. Its essence is a grassy alternative to a pedestrian crossing that connects two green areas divided by a pavement or other urban road. On the one hand, the project loudly questions the anthropocentric model of understanding the world, as it shows that life can also transcend the human mind and needs; however, on the other hand, it also relates to the human being by offering an imaginary escape from the usual world and established roads to places where we are not bound by clearly established conventions and obligations, and where our living space is a lawn rather than a paved path.
Vlady

Vlady is a graduate of the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan (2002) and Dublin Business School (2008). His multidisciplinary work usually takes the form of spontaneous, minimalist, socio-politically oriented interventions in public space. The beginning of his activities roughly coincides with the onset of the most recent economic crisis, during which – from the perspective of a resident of one of the poorest areas in southern Italy – he attacked his own society with unprecedented sarcastic guerrilla activism. Vlady’s temporary interventions, often based on sharp textual messages, are usually permeated with a chiasmatic clash of joy and melancholy, fame and decay, or activity and resignation. Since 2012 a number of projects in which the public plays an important role and where the artist mixes interventionism with elements of situationism can be found in his work.
